A blog about 3D printers, and their applicability for use in design classes.
Thursday, 7 February 2013
Well, this is a blog.
This blog is intended to be used for the ARET 2220 class. I'll be updating it with new info on my research topic, 3-D printers. Once all the proper corrections have been made, I'll post my research proposal on here as well.
Hey Devon, I was watching some videos on youtube about what people made with 3D printers and one particular item caught my eye. It was a design for a house, but it was designed by an algorithm (a computer designed this!!) So I looked into it a bit more and found this webpage
Oh wow, that is incredibly cool. Its like living in the skull of some ancient alien monster.
I'd totally live in that.
Stuff like this is incredibly exciting and cool, buildings and models being able to be built faster, cheaper, and some might say with better design. I definitely think the future of manufacturing and design lays within 3D printing.
Lets just hope a robot uprising never happens however...

The design is unlike anything I've ever seen and if you want take a look.

lol, I agree, 3D printing is just getting started but when it gets into full swing it is gonna be HUGE!
